New York Mets -- Greg Pavlick, a coach for the team in 1985-86, will return, replacing Vern Hoscheit, who will instruct catchers in the minor league system. The rest of the Mets' coaches will return.

Philadelphia Phillies -- Agreed to one-year contract with OF Phil Bradley. Detroit Tigers -- Named Joe Klein major-league special assignment coach.


Denver Nuggets -- F Calvin Natt was hospitalized again for phlebitis in his left calf.

Phoenix Suns -- Rookie F Armon Gilliam will be activated this week. He broke his left big toe in the season-opener.


Wake Forest -- Said Robert Siler, starting freshman point guard, may be lost for the rest of the season with injured knee.


St. Louis Blues -- Recalled LW Jocelyn Lemieux from Peoria, Ill., in the International Hockey League; returned rookie C Shane MacEachern there.

Pittsburgh Penguins -- Sent C Chris Kontos and LWs Mark Kachowski and Scott Gruhl to Muskegon of the International Hockey League.


World Cup -- Matti Nykaenen won the overall four-hill tournament in Bischofshofen, Austria.


George Foreman -- Will continue his comeback Feb. 5 when he meets Guido Trane in a 10-rounder at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
