FOOTBALL NFL -- Said Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings will play a preseason game in Goteborg, Sweden, on Aug. 13. The game between the NFC Central Division clubs will be played at Ullevi Stadium, a 52,000-seat natural turf facility. It will be NFL's third exhibition game in Europe; games the previous two years were in London.

COLLEGES Georgia -- Football coach Vince Dooley was released from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, one day after undergoing a second angioplasty procedure to clear a narrowing coronary artery. Dooley's physician, Dr. John Douglas, said the Georgia coach and athletic director could resume a full schedule immediately. Texas Christian -- Announced football defensive coordinator Rick Johnson has resigned to take a similar post at Duke and has been replaced by Mark Dove, defensive coordinator at North Carolina. Virginia -- Said Martinsville High School's Nikki Fisher, who rushed for 2,025 yards in 1987, will attend the university on football grant. Penn State -- Said All-Met football LB Brett Wright of McDonough will enroll. Catholic -- F Donna Pinto was named ECAC Division III South Region women's basketball player of the week for her 66 points and 22 rebounds in victories over Gallaudet, East Connecticut and Dickinson.
