ATLANTA, FEB. 16 -- Vicky Bullett scored 28 points and cleared 11 rebounds to lead the Maryland Terrapins to an easy 92-70 Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball win tonight over Georgia Tech.
The Terrapins (18-5, 10-2) jumped to an early lead and Georgia Tech (10-13, 3-10) never threatened. Maryland outrebounded the Yellow Jackets, 44-29.
Lisa Brown scored 21 points and had six assists, and three other Terrapins scored in double figures: Deanna Tate 16, Edna Campbell 11 and Christy Winters 10.
The Yellow Jackets' leading scorer Dolores Bootz (20 ppg) was held to four points. Marielle Walker scored 18 and had eight rebounds.
In other area women's games: Zena Edwards tied her career-high of 28 points to lead Mount St. Mary's (21-1) over Navy, 80-65, in Annapolis . . . Host Maryland-Eastern Shore (9-11, 6-6 MEAC) halted Howard, 66-63, behind 29 points from Monica Felder. Vannessa Graham led Howard (13-10, 7-3) with 20 . . . Host Catholic (14-6) beat Messiah, 78-75, as Trisha Miller scored 20 points . . . In Baltimore, Gallaudet (8-15) got past Goucher, 51-42, as Gina Tester scored 16 points before fouling out with eight minutes to go.
