The University of the District of Columbia women beat Delaware State, 85-67, last night in Dover, Del.
Malissa Stephenson and Arlinda Page each had 20 points to lead the Firebirds (22-2). UDC set a school record for victories in a season and has won 16 games in a row. Delaware State (5-19) was led by guard Barbara Burgess' 30 points.
Pittsburgh 76, Georgetown 64
: The winners' 8-0 run at the end of the first half provided a 13-point lead in Pittsburgh. Georgetown (7-17, 2-9) could get no closer than 58-51 with 8:42 to play. Pittsburgh was led by Lorri Johnson's 20 points. Beth Knight had 25 for Georgetown.
George Mason 62, William and Mary 50:
The Patriots raised their record to 15-7 overall and 6-4 in the Colonial Athletic Association by winning in Williamsburg. William and Mary is 7-14, 1-7.
George Mason, which led by 42-35 at intermission, shot from long range in the second half. Cindy Baruch had a game-high 24 points for the Patriots and Jerolyn Weathersby had 20. The Patriots shot only 39 percent from the field, but made 14 of 19 free throws.
Virginia 64, North Carolina 57:
In Charlottesville, Donna Holt had 18 points, seven assists and six steals as No. 7 Virginia won an Atlantic Coast Conference game.
