Seton Hall 89, Pittsburgh 72:

Mark Bryant scored eight of his career-high 32 points in an 18-2 run late in the second half to lead the Pirates to a Big East Conference upset of the No. 6 Panthers.

Seton Hall (18-10, 6-7), relied on its defense as much as its offense in the late going, holding visiting Pittsburgh (19-4, 9-3) to just one basket in the final seven minutes in winning for the fifth time in six games.

Villanova 90, Drexel 72:

Doug West notched 16 of his 18 points in the first half and Tom Greis also scored 18 to send the Wildcats to a victory in Philadelphia.

West shot six of seven from the floor in the first 20 minutes, including two of three from three-point territory, to help the Wildcats (18-9) to a 16-point halftime advantage.

John Rankin and Todd Lehmann had 14 each for the Dragons (18-7).

Notre Dame 66, Creighton 54:

David Rivers scored 12 of his 13 points in the second half as the Fighting Irish defeated the visitors.

Old Dominion 101, South Alabama 77:

Frank Smith had 19 points and 12 assists to lead the Monarchs to a Sun Belt Conference rout of the visitors.
