OBITUARY Stevenson B. (Steve) Snider, 74, who wrote and edited sports 53 years for United Press International until retiring Aug. 24, died Tuesday in New York after heart attack Sunday. After World War II, he wrote UPI's "The Sports Patrol," a six-a-week column, for 24 years.
