ATLANTA, JUNE 21 -- Pinch hitter Tommy Gregg's two-run double off Rob Dibble with two out in the ninth inning gave the Atlanta Braves a 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds tonight.

Dibble (4-2) walked Dave Justice with one out and Greg Olson with two out before Gregg lined his double to the center field fence, scoring Justice and pinch runner Alexis Infante.

Gregg's hit made a winner of John Smoltz (4-6), who held the Reds to seven hits.

The Reds had taken a 3-2 lead with an unearned run in the top of the ninth on pinch hitter Ken Griffey's sacrifice fly after a balk and passed ball.

Reds starter Danny Jackson yielded two runs and seven hits in 7 1/3 innings but failed to hold a 2-0 lead.

The Reds took a 1-0 edge in the second on singles by Hal Morris and Mariano Duncan, a walk to Joe Oliver and Jackson's double-play grounder. They made it 2-0 in the third when Chris Sabo, who reached on a forceout and took third on Eric Davis's single, scored on a wild pitch.

The Braves closed to 2-1 in the third when Olson walked and scored on Lonnie Smith's double. They tied it in the seventh on a single by Justice, Jeff Blauser's sacrifice, Jackson's wild pitch and Olson's sacrifice fly.
