For Iceycindy to win her fifth straight race, she'll have to get past three-time Maryland-bred champion Thirty Eight Go Go and six other stakes winners in today's $60,000-added Sensational Handicap at Pimlico.
Iceycindy has been striding nicely since she dropped her jockey in her Maryland debut three months ago, but the Sensational will be her toughest assignment.
Principal challengers include Thirty Eight Go Go, who looms as a dangerous closer even though she hasn't been as efficient this year, and Miss Josh, the 116-pound high weight who has won three of her last four starts.
Given 112 pounds, Iceycindy will leave from Post 3 in the 1 1/16-mile turf race.
She has the speed to take the lead if Edgar Prado so chooses, although twice during her four-race streak she's come from just off the pace.
Thirty Eight Go Go has more than $800,000 in earnings overall, but only one victory in the past year, that against Maryland-breds in the Geisha.
However, each of her last three starts has been in a graded stakes race.
Mark Johnston will ride Thirty Eight Go Go for the first time.
