MOVES: The Giants called up 1B Mike Laga and put IF Mark Leonard on the 15-day DL. Leonard sprained his left knee Tuesday. He was disabled retroactive to Wednesday. Laga hit .292 with 21 homers and 69 RBI in 78 games for Class AAA Phoenix. . . . The Astros extended Manager Art Howe's contract through next season. He's completing his second year as manager and is the team's 10th since it entered the NL. He played for the Astros seven seasons.
