In his last three starts at Fenway Park, Yankees right-hander Andy Hawkins has pitched a total of one inning, giving up 13 hits and 18 runs for a 162.00 ERA. . . . Minnesota's Allan Anderson (6-17) became the majors' biggest loser this season, giving up six runs and seven hits in 2 2/3 innings to Detroit on Saturday. Anderson was 17-10 last season and led the AL with a 2.45 ERA in 1988.

SPARKLING WITT:

Texas right-hander Bobby Witt (14-8) has won a club-record 11 straight games. He beat the Oakland Athletics, 3-2, Saturday, walking 10 and striking out 10 in seven innings. The major league record for most walks in a nine-inning game is 16 by Bill George of the New York Giants in 1887 and Bruno Haas of the Philadelphia A's in 1915.

MOVES:

SS Andujar Cedeno and IF Luis Gonzalez were recalled by the Houston Astros from Columbus of the Southern League. Cedeno batted .240 with 21 doubles, 11 triples, 19 home runs and 64 RBI. Gonzalez, who plays first base and third base, hit .265 with 24 home runs, 89 RBI and 27 steals. 1B Mike Sims, OF Eric Anthony and RHP Jim Clancy are scheduled to join the Astros at Los Angeles on Tuesday after the completion of the Pacific Coast League season.
