Georgetown has announced its 1990-91 men's basketball schedule, highlighted by a Dec. 5 matchup against Duke at Capital Centre on ESPN in the ACC-Big East Challenge series.

The Hoyas will play 12 nationally televised games and out-of-conference matchups that include Ohio State, Houston, De Paul, Texas-El Paso and Rice.

Two exhibition games will be held at McDonough Arena: Nov. 2 against the U.S. Army team from Fort Hood and Nov. 14 against ex-Seton Hall guard Andrew Gaze and a Melbourne, Australia, team.

For the ninth consecutive year, Georgetown opens its regular season in Hawaii, facing Hawaii-Loa and Hawaii-Pacific on Nov. 23-24.

Georgetown's Big East schedule starts Jan. 5 at home against Seton Hall, followed by a Jan. 8 matchup at Providence. The Hoyas' two games against Syracuse take place Jan. 21 at home and March 3 at the Carrier Dome.

The Hoyas' game against Ohio State will be Dec. 22 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. The Houston game Dec. 29 will be at the Sun Coast Dome in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The Big East tournament at Madison Square Garden will take place March 7-10.
