COURTS San Francisco Giants SS Jose Uribe was free on bail after being charged in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with assaulting two women with a baseball bat, Santo Domingo newspapers said. Uribe was released after posting $26,000 bail, the papers reported. The women, whom he reportedly met in the United States, apparently showed up at his house, where the alleged assault took place.
