QB Randall Cunningham completed 15 of 25 passes for 231 yards and ran seven times for 71 yards in Philadelphia's 30-23 loss to Buffalo. He moved into second place, ahead of Tobin Rote, on the all-time quarterback rushing list with 3,173 yards. He trails leader Fran Tarkenton by 502.
"I don't know what we pay Randall, but it's not enough," said Eagles Coach Buddy Ryan.
NOT EASING UP:
Coach Mike Ditka said he doesn't plan to play the final games any differently just because the 10-2 Bears have clinched the NFC Central title early. Ditka said he wants the team, which plays the Redskins at RFK Stadium Sunday, to keep playing well so it can gain home-field advantage for the playoffs.
But Ditka said he may sit out DT Dan Hampton for a couple of games. Hampton has had 10 knee operations and had fluid drained from each knee Monday.
Former Atlanta starting QB Scott Campbell will take over as starter once again after it was confirmed a broken right collarbone will keep Chris Miller from throwing for four to five months.
