Responding to published criticism from GM Jerry West, Lakers G Magic Johnson said he was "disappointed" and questioned his long-term future with the team he's led for 12 years.

"I've been thinking more than I ever have before {about changing teams} in the last week," Johnson said before Sunday night's victory over Minnesota. "I don't want to make any hasty decisions. I just want to sit back and think about a lot of things."

The Nuggets waived Gs T.R. Dunn and Avery Johnson; activated F Jerome Lane from injured list. Lane averaged 10.1 points, 9.9 rebounds before a sprained right ankle sidelined him Dec. 12. Dunn, in his 14th NBA campaign, 10th with Denver, averaged 12.8 minutes in 17 games this season; spent part of this month on five-game shelf with a sore knee. . . . The 76ers waived G Jim Farmer; signed as a free agent Nov. 16. He averaged three points in two games. . . . The Mavericks waived G Kelvin Upshaw. He was signed Nov. 12 to take the roster spot of Roy Tarpley (knee surgery). Had Dallas not waived him by 4 p.m. EST yesterday, his contract would have become guaranteed.
