QUITE A NUGGET:

For Christmas, Nuggets rookie Chris Jackson moved his mother from a small, wood-frame house to a new, larger home and had it furnished by a professional decorator.

"I feel happy, but I don't know what to say," Jacquelin Jackson said after being met at the house in Gulfport, Miss., by Jackson and 40 friends. "I didn't imagine, ever, this to happen in life."

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home comes courtesy of Jackson's $12 million contract.

He said he told himself "if I ever got the chance, the first thing I was going to do was to get my mom out of that house so she can live comfortably and say, 'This is my house.' "

Larayn Guidroz, an interior designer, said she spent $50,351 on furnishings for the home.
