Patrick Roy made 18 saves for his first shutout of the season as Montreal defeated Quebec, 3-0, Saturday night.

Roy had missed the previous nine games with a knee injury. In his only previous extended absence from the lineup -- following an eight-game suspension in 1987 -- he had a shutout against Chicago.
