He hit .251 last year, with three home runs and 16 RBI in 72 games. Quinones will earn $300,000 next season. Team also announced it had sold more season tickets (17,100) for 1991 than for any other season in club history. Detroit Tigers -- Former utility player Marty Castillo has returned to organization as a coach with team's Class AAA affiliate in Toledo. TENNIS John McEnroe, tossed out of the Australian Open last year after throwing a tantrum on court, is staying away this year because of a shoulder injury.
