Bowie State advanced to the Indiana (Pa.) University tournament title game last night with a 65-54 victory over the University of the District of Columbia in Indiana, Pa. Bowie will play the host school tonight at 8:30.

Aquila Matthews scored 16 and Rayford Young 14 for the Bulldogs, who led at halftime, 34-21.

The Firebirds (2-12) pulled within eight points in the game's final two minutes, but the Bulldogs made 10 of 11 free throws.

Marymount 59, Newport News 56: Pierre Gardner scored 18 points and the Saints (5-8) recovered from a 16-point first-half deficit in Arlington. The Shipbuilders (1-11) were led by Brian Darden with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Siena 76, Loyola (Md.) 42: Marc Brown scored 14 points to lead the Saints (10-3, 3-0) in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game in Loudonville, N.Y. Kevin Green led the Greyhounds (5-8, 0-3) with 11 points.

Charles County 90, Pitt CC 89: Lamont Saxon hit a three-point shot to break a tie at 87, and the Hawks held on beat the North Carolina team in overtime in La Plata, Md.

Emory & Henry 76, Bridgewater 62: In Bridgewater, Va., Leon Hill scored 32 points and Derek Elmore had 16 as the Wasps improved to 10-0.
