Julius McNeil scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half to lead five players in double figures as Howard coasted to a 94-81 victory over Bethune-Cookman yesterday in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game in Daytona Beach, Fla.
He helped the Bison (4-18, 3-8 MEAC) extend a 45-39 halftime lead to 70-58 during a four-minute stretch. His nine points included back-to-back three-point plays.
All four Howard victories have come on the road.
Gallaudet 90, Christendom 82: Anthony Jones led the victory with 41 points at Gallaudet.
Mary Washington 77, Catholic 61: Mary Washington (6-16, 3-6 Capital Athletic Conference) got 22 points from Bernard Johnson.

Substitute Rosalyn Evans scored her 15 points in the second half and Kim Wright got 10 of her 12 after intermission to lead Howard to a 60-52 victory over Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Bison are 8-13, 5-5 in the MEAC.
Penn State 80, GW 69: In University Park, Pa., the No. 2-ranked Nittany Lions (19-1, 10-1 Atlantic 10) led by 42-28 at halftime and won their 24th straight. Jennifer Shasky led the Colonial Women (16-4, 9-2) with 19 points.
Catholic 56, Mary Washington 55: In Washington, Chris Pelli (game-high 20 points and 12 rebounds) scored on a rebound with two seconds left in overtime, lifting the Cardinals (7-15, 5-3 Capital Athletic Conference) over the Eagles (11-9, 6-3).
Elizabeth City St. 70, Bowie St. 53: In North Carolina, the Bulldogs (4-15, 1-8) lost their 11th straight.
