The Bowie Baysox wriggled out of jams in each of the last three innings last night to defeat the Harrisburg Senators, 6-4, in a Class AA Eastern League game before a season-high crowd of 13,907 at Prince George's Stadium.

Luis Matos and Richie Paz both went 2 for 4 for Bowie. Matos had a run and an RBI and Paz scored twice.

Matos and Paz both scored in a two-run first as Bowie rallied from a 2-0 deficit. In the second, Matos added an RBI single to give the Baysox (59-53) a 3-2 lead. Brian Rust homered in the third and Paz singled to start a fourth-inning rally, then came around on a double by Carlos Casimiro. Wady Almonte's solo homer in the seventh made it 6-3.

Bowie's Julio Moreno made his first appearance since going on the disabled list May 9 with a strained forearm and worked 4 2/3 innings. Terry Rosenkranz (3-1) threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings before Ryan Kohlmeier came on in the seventh. He escaped a two-out, bases-loaded situation, but walks got him into trouble in the eighth.

Bowie's fourth pitcher, Maximo Heredia, gave up an RBI single but stranded two in the eighth, and Mike McDougal stranded two runners in the ninth for his seventh save.
