Georgia assistant football coach Pat Watson suffered a massive heart attack at his home about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, only four hours after Georgia's 24-23 victory over Central Florida. Watson, the offensive line coach, was taken to St. Mary's Hospital, where he died at 9:41 p.m., according to a school spokesman. He was 56.

"Pat has meant a lot to me personally through the years," said Coach Jim Donnan, who had known Watson since they were on the staff together at North Carolina in 1974. "He was not only a great father and person, he was the epitome of what an old ball coach ought to be."
