The Trail Blazers were thrilled to get G-F Scottie Pippen, and the Rockets were glad to get rid of him.

In a deal that had been rumored for days, the six-time NBA champion and seven-time all-star was traded to Portland for C Kelvin Cato, G-F Stacey Augmon, F Walt Williams, G Ed Gray, G Brian Shaw and F Carlos Rogers.

The trade came just days after Pippen, who wanted out of Houston, made negative remarks about Rockets teammate Charles Barkley. Pippen, 34, was hoping to be traded to the Lakers, where he could play for Phil Jackson, his former coach with the Bulls.

GUILTY PLEA: An Illinois woman accused of stalking former NBA star Dennis Rodman pleaded guilty Friday in Newport Beach, Calif., to 10 misdemeanor counts of making annoying phone calls. Felony charges of making terroristic threats and electronic stalking were dropped.

Judge Susanne Shaw sentenced Marie Boguszewski, 36, of Bradley, Ill., to one year in jail with three years' probation and ordered her to stay at least 500 yards away from Rodman, his ex-wife Carmen Electra, and three of the athlete's former publicists.
