The Ravens claimed K Joe Nedney from the Cardinals yesterday. Nedney is expected to handle kickoffs, while Matt Stover will continue to kick field goals and extra point attempts. To make room for Nedney, the Ravens waived LB Jeff Kopp.
The Ravens also worked out three additional kickers--including two former Redskins--in the wake of Stover's 38-yard miss against Atlanta on Sunday.
Former Edmonton Eskimo Jon Baker and former Redskins Jeff Hall and Cary Blanchard worked out for the Ravens at their practice facility in Owings Mills, Md.
Stover made two other field goals, but he and Coach Brian Billick had a confrontation on the sideline following the miss. Stover has made 6 of 9 field goal attempts this season. His longest was for 45 yards against Pittsburgh.
