The best and worst from yesterday's games:

Pennington, Redman Climbing the Charts

Louisville's Chris Redman and Marshall's Chad Pennington continued to climb the NCAA quarterback record lists with big performances. Redman became the Division I career leader in pass attempts late in the first half of Louisville's 39-33 win over Houston. With 1,554 attempts, Redman broke Ty Detmer's record of 1,530 set from 1988 to '91. Redman needs six completions to match Detmer's Division I career record of 958.

Pennington moved from 12th to seventh place on the NCAA all-division career passing yards list after throwing for 339 yards in Marshall's 59-3 win over Buffalo. Pennington has 11,655 passing yards in his career. He needs 552 yards to pass San Diego State's Jamie Martin for sixth place.

Also, Louisiana Tech's Tim Rattay threw for 561 yards and five touchdowns in a 46-35 victory over Central Florida. He now has 10,984 career passing yards and is in 13th place on the NCAA all-division list.

Ivy Record-Breaker

One week after breaking the Ivy League record for career touchdown passes, Brown's James Perry became the conference's career passing yards leader in the Bears' 44-37 win over Pennsylvania. Perry completed 31 of 50 passes for 440 yards and five touchdowns against the Quakers. He has 8,031 yards for his career, breaking the record of 7,849 set by Columbia's John Witkowski from 1981 to '83.

This has become a high- scoring rivalry in recent years, mainly because both teams rely heavily on the pass. The Bears' 58-51 win last season was the highest-scoring game in Ivy League history. The teams combined to score 58 points in the fourth quarter alone.

Elsewhere on the high-scoring front, Southern Utah set a school record with 734 total yards in a 63-47 win over Idaho State. The teams combined for 56 points and 406 yards in the third quarter. Illinois State and Southern Illinois combined for 1,230 yards in the Redbirds' 55-48 win.

First to 200

Eastern Kentucky became the first school in Division I-AA's 21-year history to win 200 games with a 54-7 win over Tennessee-Martin.

Corey Crume and Derick Logan rushed for two touchdowns each and Waylon Chapman passed for two as Eastern Kentucky amassed 589 total yards.

The Colonels won the Division I-AA national championship in 1979 and 1982.
