WR Joey Galloway, who has sat out the season in a contract dispute with the Seahawks, will report to the team on Monday, according to a broadcast report. Fox Sports News, citing no sources, said Galloway will report Monday so he can spend the minimum 30 days on the roster necessary for this to count as a full season. It would give him five seasons and thus make him eligible for free agency--if the Seahawks don't label him their franchise player.
* MILLER TO START: Broncos QB Chris Miller will make his first start in four years on Sunday when he replaces injured Brian Griese. Griese won't start the game against the Chargers because of a sore shoulder, but he is expected to back up Miller. Broncos Coach Mike Shanahan made the change after Griese's shoulder limited his throwing ability during yesterday's practice.
"He started and he really had a pretty good practice but I could just tell by his throwing motion on some of the deeper routes that he is gutting it out," Shanahan said.
Bubby Brister also is unavailable with a strained oblique muscle and a knee injury.
Sunday's start will be Miller's first since 1995. "I am looking forward to playing, obviously not at the expense of those guys being injured, but it's nice to get a chance to play," Miller said.
