Romando North caught a touchdown pass and returned a kickoff 91 yards for a score as North Carolina A&T posted its best record in school history with a 27-7 win over South Carolina State yesterday in Charlotte.

The Aggies (10-1, 8-0) took a 7-0 lead on a 10-yard pass from Jason Battle to North early in the second quarter and Timothy Blowe returned a fumble eight yards for a touchdown with 1 minute 30 seconds remaining in the half for a 14-0 lead. The Bulldogs fell to 4-6, 2-5.

* HAMPTON 34, MORGAN STATE 14: Montrell Coley rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns and the Pirates broke open a close game with a 21-point third quarter in the teams' season finale in Hampton, Va.

Coley scored on runs of 22 and 10 yards as Hampton (7-4, 5-3) scored 31 consecutive points. The Bears slipped to 2-8, 0-7.

* FLORIDA A&M 63, BETHUNE-COOKMAN 14: In Orlando, JuJuan Seider passed for 203 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for two more as the Rattlers (8-3, 7-1) kept their playoff hopes alive by winning the Florida Classic.
