Warriors F Chris Mills was scheduled to undergo surgery yesterday to remove bone spurs from his right ankle, the team said.

A prognosis for his return will be made following surgery.

The Warriors waived G Tim Legler, who signed with the team in October, and signed G-F Jamel Thomas to a free agent contract.

PIPPEN TRIBUTE: The Bulls plan to honor Scottie Pippen on Monday with a two-minute video tribute during player introductions, marking the first time he'll play against his former team.

Playing in a supporting role to Michael Jordan, Pippen was a key player on six Bulls championship teams. The 6-foot-7, 228-pound Pippen plays for Portland after one season with Houston. The Rockets didn't play Chicago last season because the lockout shortened the schedule to 50 games.
