Connecticut is coming off an impressive win against No. 3 Louisiana Tech, a team that went to the Final Four last season. The Huskies defeated the Lady Techsters, 90-63, in Storrs, Conn. Preseason all-American Svetlana Abrosimova, a 6-foot-2 forward, made 3 of 5 three-point attempts and finished with 25 points. Connecticut has made 57 percent of its three-point attempts (29 of 51) during its past three games.
Georgetown (7-4) is coming off a 68-53 loss to No. 15 Duke that ended the Hoyas' four-game winning streak. The Hoyas are led by G Katie Smrcka-Duffy, who is averaging 19.5 points. Senior F Danielle Hurley, the team's top rebounder and second leading scorer, is out because of a foot stress fracture.
