Marc Savard scored two second-period goals and Valeri Bure added his team-high 22nd as the Flames routed the Detroit Red Wings, 6-1, last night in Calgary.

Bill Lindsay, Andrei Nazarov and Denis Gauthier also scored, and Fred Brathwaite made 28 saves to help the Flames run their winning streak to four games and six straight at home.

Detroit's Steve Yzerman scored his 22nd goal of the season and 614th of his career to move past Mario Lemieux for sixth place on the career list.

RANGERS 3, HURRICANES 2: Valeri Kamensky had a goal and two assists for his first multiple-point game with host New York.

Kamensky, limited by injuries to 21 games this season, scored for the third straight game after failing to score since Oct. 19. The left wing signed during the offseason as a free agent.

Adam Graves and John MacLean also scored and Mike Richter made 24 saves for the Rangers, who won their third straight and fifth in six contests. The only defeat in that stretch was a 1-0 loss at Carolina on Jan. 9.

KINGS 5, SABRES 3: Ziggy Palffy had two goals and Luc Robitaille scored twice on power plays as Los Angeles, at home, ended a three-game losing streak. Brad Chartrand also scored for the Kings, who chased goalie Martin Biron to the bench with three goals on 14 shots. The rookie had shutouts in two of his previous three outings, including a scoreless tie.

COYOTES 4, PREDATORS 4: Scott Walker scored his 100th NHL point on a sixth-man goal with 21 seconds left in regulation as Nashville gained a tie at home. The Predators scored twice in the final 5:26 of the third period to tie Phoenix, the NHL's second-best road team.
