School: Stonewall Jackson.
Highlights: Senior has placed first or second all-around in all eight meets in which she has competed. Placed second all-around at the Winterfest Invitational (Jan. 15 at Colonial Forge) and the Park View Invitational (Jan. 8 at Park View) with scores of 36.0 and 35.25, respectively, to help the Raiders (6-2) win both. Her highest scores of the season came at the Winterfest Invitational--9.4 on the floor and 9.55 on vault. "She executes her entire routine very cleanly," Coach Karen Lutman said. "She has a high level of difficulty [for] all her requirements and technique-wise she performs very well."
Notable: Floor exercise is her strongest event; would like to do a double-full (a layout with two full twists in the air)--a difficult tumble--in the Feb. 5 district meet at Hylton. She placed third at districts (35.9) and fifth in the Northwest Regional meet with a score of 36.45, which qualified her for the state meet.
Personal: Ranked eighth in her class with a grade-point average of 4.1. Is in the International Baccalaureate Program. Is the Student Council Association vice president and secretary of the National Honors Society. Will attend the University of Virginia in the fall to study marine science.
