Rometra Craig scored nine of her 19 points in the final six minutes yesterday in Los Angeles as Southern California upset No. 5 Stanford, 75-72, ending the Cardinal's 28-game Pacific-10 Conference winning streak.

Nicole Powell scored a season-high 34 points and Chelsea Trotter added 10 for Stanford (15-2, 7-1), which had won 10 straight overall.

The Trojans (9-11, 4-5) trailed only once, at 60-58, then took the lead for good on Craig's three-point basket with 5 minutes 56 seconds to play.

Susan King's three-pointer pulled the Cardinal to 66-64 with 3:41 left. But Craig made a three-point shot and two free throws to give Southern California a 71-64 lead with 1:07 to play.

* AUBURN 64, ARKANSAS 36: Natasha Brackett scored 23 points and the host Tigers (14-4, 2-3 Southeastern Conference) held the No. 8 Lady Razorbacks (16-4, 3-2) to 15 points in the second half.

Brackett had four three-pointers and six steals for Auburn. Louise Emeagi scored 13 points and Marita Payne added 10.

* ILLINOIS 94, MINNESOTA 80: In Champaign, Ill., Aminata Yanni scored a career-high 30 points to lead five Illini players in double figures.

Angelina Williams had 22 points for Illinois (12-5, 4-3 Big Ten).

Corrin Von Wold had 15 points for the Golden Gophers (15-3, 4-3), who lost their second straight game.

* OKLAHOMA 65, BAYLOR 64: Dionnah Jackson hit a three-pointer with two seconds left to give the No. 22 Sooners (13-5, 4-1 Big 12) a win over the Bears (13-4, 2-3) in Waco, Tex.

* MEMPHIS 64, DEPAUL 58: Shannon Hamp scored 20 points and Princess Swilley added 17 as the Tigers (9-9, 2-3 Conference USA) scored the first 10 points of the game and then held on in Memphis.

The No. 25 Blue Demons (14-6, 3-2) dropped their second in a row.

* PENN STATE 72, MICHIGAN 70: Jessica Brungo scored 25 points and Tanisha Wright broke a tie with five seconds left to lead the No. 13 Lady Lions (16-5, 6-1 Big Ten) over the Wolverines (11-6, 2-4) in Ann Arbor, Mich.

* DUKE 81, FLORIDA STATE 63: Iciss Tillis scored a career-high 30 points and the No. 1 Blue Devils (19-0, 7-0 ACC) held off the Seminoles (13-5, 5-2) in Durham, N.C.

* LSU 70, VANDERBILT 59: Seimone Augustus scored 21 points as the No. 6 Tigers (17-1, 5-1 SEC) shook off the No. 18 Commodores (12-6, 2-3) for their 14th straight win at home.

* ARIZONA 62, WISCONSIN 55: Dee-Dee Wheeler scored 23 points and the No. 19 Wildcats (13-5) won in Madison, Wis. Stephanie Rich scored 13 points to lead Wisconsin (4-14).

* TENNESSEE 82, MISSISSIPPI STATE 68: Gwen Jackson scored 25 points as the No. 4 Lady Vols (16-3, 5-0 SEC) outlasted the visiting No. 14 Lady Bulldogs (14-4, 3-2).

* PURDUE 76, NORTHWESTERN 60: Erika Valek tied a career high with 26 points and had six assists to lead the No. 12 Boilermakers (16-3, 4-2 Big Ten) on the road. Sarah Kwasinski led Northwestern (6-13, 1-7) with 16 points.

* GEORGIA 71, KENTUCKY 59: Christi Thomas had 14 points and 11 rebounds and made six free throws in the final 40 seconds as the No. 24 Lady Bulldogs (14-4, 5-0 SEC) won at home. Sara Potts scored 18 to lead Kentucky (9-8, 2-3).

* TEXAS TECH 80, COLORADO 58: Natalie Ritchie scored 18 of her 21 points in the first half, helping open a 19-point halftime lead, and the No. 7 Lady Raiders (16-2, 5-1 Big 12) cruised on the road. Tera Bjorklund had 26 points and 10 rebounds for Colorado (14-3, 4-2).
