The Washington Mystics yesterday announced their schedule for the 2003 season. The Mystics, who recorded the first winning season in franchise history and reached the Eastern Conference finals last year, will open with a three-game road trip to Charlotte, Indiana and New York -- the team that kept them from the WNBA Finals. Washington's home opener is June 6 against Cleveland.

The WNBA has expanded its season to 34 games. The season begins on May 22 and runs through Aug. 25. San Antonio and Connecticut join the league this season, replacing the two teams -- Portland and Miami -- that disbanded. Two other teams, Utah and Orlando, relocated to San Antonio and Connecticut, respectively.
