Mats Sundin had a goal and two assists and Ed Belfour stopped 37 shots as the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs beat the New York Islanders, 5-2, Friday night.

Alexander Mogilny scored twice, and Tomas Kaberle, and Robert Reichel also had goals for the Maple Leafs. Toronto is firmly in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings, and likely will play Philadelphia or New Jersey in the first round of the playoffs.

* DEVILS 1, THRASHERS 1: Atlanta's Marc Savard and New Jersey's Scott Gomez scored just over four minutes apart in the third period.

The visiting Devils outshot the Thrashers 44-18 and extended their unbeaten streak to six games (4-0-2) and increased their lead in the Atlantic Division to four points over Philadelphia.

* WILD 4, BLACKHAWKS 3: Richard Park scored with 1:14 left in overtime to lift Minnesota at home.

Park one-timed a pass from Marian Gaborik past Chicago's Steve Passmore as the Wild earned its first win since clinching its first playoff berth Sunday.

Cliff Ronning sent the game to overtime with a goal for Minnesota with 36 seconds left in regulation. The goal, which came after the Wild pulled goaltender Dwayne Roloson in favor of an extra skater, completed a furious third period in which the teams traded four goals during the final 10 minutes.

* OILERS 4, BLUE JACKETS 0: In Edmonton, backup goaltender Jussi Markkanen stopped 26 shots for his third shutout of the season.

It was the fifth career shutout for Markkanen, who has made just 20 appearances this season for the Oilers. Brad Isbister, Ryan Smyth, Cory Cross and Jason Chimera scored for Edmonton, which has won four straight. Columbus has lost three of four.

* SABRES 4, CANADIENS 1: Taylor Pyatt had his first career three-goal game to lead Buffalo at home. Pyatt, playing after missing four games with a concussion, has six goals and nine points in his last eight games.

Jochen Hecht scored his fourth goal in the last six games for Buffalo, which won its third in a row.
