Two Changes at Blair

After 24 seasons, 331 victories, 5 region titles and 1 state championship, Bill Lindsey has resigned as the head girls' basketball coach at Blair High.

Lindsey, whose team went 10-14 last season, will be replaced by Jim Mogge.

The boys' coach also will be new at Blair next year. Athletic Director Dale Miller, who coached the team as a fill-in last year, will step down for Orlando Larracuente, who coached at Whitman the previous three years and at Kennedy before that.

Both hirings were reported in this week's editions of the Montgomery Journal.

Porcha to T.C. Williams

George Porcha, the former Washington-Lee girls' basketball coach, will take over the same position at T.C. Williams, Titans Athletic Director A.K. Johnson said yesterday. In five seasons at Washington-Lee, Porcha amassed a 64-43 record and led his team to the Northern Region playoffs in each season.
