Tony Meola posted his MLS-record 52nd career shutout, and Jack Jewsbury and Josh Wolff scored goals in the Wizards' 2-0 victory over Dallas last night in Kansas City, Mo.

The Wizards (3-2-2) opened the scoring in the 60th minute on Jewsbury's first career MLS goal. Wolff made it 2-0 seven minutes later with his second goal of the season.

Dallas dropped to 2-3-2.

* METROSTARS 1, REVOLUTION 1: Cornell Glen scored in the 55th minute for the MetroStars to force a draw in Foxboro, Mass.

New England (1-3-3) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute when Patrick Noonan scored his second goal of the season from 10 yards out on the left side, tapping in a cross from Shalrie Joseph.

The MetroStars (2-1-4) tied the game when Glen, a rookie from Trinidad and Tobago, scored his first goal in his first start of the season. He took a pass from Mark Lisi, and slipped past defenders Jay Heaps and Brian Kamler for the goal.

* EARTHQUAKES 4, GALAXY 2: Brian Ching scored two goals and Dwayne De Rosario had a goal and two assists to lead San Jose.

The Earthquakes (3-2-3) remained in second place in the MLS Western Conference behind Los Angeles (4-2-3).
