Today, 2 p.m., Class of 1952 Stadium, Princeton, N.J.

No. 1 Princeton (17-0) vs. No. 2 Virginia (18-3)

* What's going on: Two-time defending champion Princeton enters with a 29-game winning streak. Virginia has won nine games in a row and is looking for its first national title since 1993. Princeton defeated Virginia in overtime in the NCAA title game last year, 8-7. The Cavaliers are 0-4 in title games since 1996.

"I think Princeton's a great team," Virginia Coach Julie Myers said after a 12-9 victory over Georgetown in a semifinal Friday. "I think they should be in the final game. Hopefully people can look at our programs and say we're the two best programs in the country."

Princeton junior GK Sarah Kolodner has started in and won each of the past two title games and is 11-0 in the NCAA tournament. She had nine saves in the title game last year and 13 in 2002.

The Tigers also have senior MF Theresa Sherry, who scored the winning goal in the title game last year.

Virginia GK Andrea Pfeiffer had 10 saves and Amy Appelt scored four goals, all in the second half, in the semifinal win over Georgetown.

"It's been hard trying not to overlook other teams when it was such a tough, bitter loss last year," Pfeiffer said. "I definitely think we're ready for them."
