Gar-Field ended its season 11-11-1.
Potomac Falls Wins
Claire Grubbs scored three minutes into the game, and senior goalkeeper Elizabeth Sellers and the defensive quartet in front of her made that stand up as the Potomac Falls girls' soccer team won a Virginia AA Region quarterfinal game over host Charlottesville, 1-0.
The Panthers (17-1-2) have allowed only six goals this season. They will host Brentsville at 6 tonight in a regional semifinal, with a berth in the state tournament on the line.
