Lauren Jackson scored 22 points and Kamila Vodichkova added a season-high 18 to lead the Seattle Storm to a 68-63 victory last night over the visiting Connecticut Sun.

After the Sun cut a nine-point deficit to three points with 8 minutes 19 seconds left, Jackson, last season's WNBA MVP, scored seven points in a 9-0 run that pushed the Storm's lead to 66-54 with 3:15 left.

The Sun scored nine of the next 10 points and cut its deficit to four with 11 seconds remaining. Vodichkova made a free throw to extend Seattle's lead to five points, and Asjha Jones's three-point try with five seconds left was blocked by Jackson.

* FEVER 72, LIBERTY 68: Tamika Catchings scored four of her 17 points in the final 14 seconds as visiting Indiana snapped New York's six-game winning streak.

The Fever, trailing by 13 points in the opening minute of the second half, rallied to beat New York for the second time -- handing the Liberty both of its losses this season. Becky Hammon led the Liberty with 22 points.

* SPARKS 69, LYNX 55: Katie Smith scored 18 points for Minnesota to become the fourth WNBA player to score 3,000, but Lisa Leslie's 19 points and 17 rebounds led Los Angeles to a win at home.

Leslie added five assists and four blocks for the Sparks. Leslie, Houston's Tina Thompson and Charlotte's Andrea Stinson also have scored 3,000 points.

* STING 59, MERCURY 51: In Phoenix, Tammy Sutton-Brown had 18 points and seven rebounds as Charlotte snapped a four-game skid.

Allison Feaster added 12 points for the Sting. Diana Taurasi scored 20 points for the Mercury.
