Moe Hargrow, who transferred from Minnesota to Arkansas during the 2002-03 season, has been released from his basketball scholarship by his new school.
Razorbacks Coach Stan Heath issued a statement concerning Hargrow, who would have been eligible to play halfway through the upcoming season.
Heath said Hargrow "is facing several challenges in his life that are non-basketball-related" so the university chose to release him. He gave no further explanation.
Offensive lineman Shane Olivea signed a three-year contract with the San Diego Chargers, the team's first draft pick to agree to terms.
Olivea was a seventh-round pick from Ohio State. He was named to the all-Big Ten second team at right tackle following his junior and senior seasons.
