New Face: Josh Harris
College: Bowling Green.
Height: 6 feet 1.
Claim to Fame: Ravens' sixth-round draft pick (187th overall) in 2004. Holds Bowling Green career records for rushing touchdowns (43), total touchdowns (47) and points scored (284).
If He Doesn't Make It: "I was a communications major, so I guess I'd try to get into broadcasting or something," Harris said.
Chances of Making the Team: Good. Harris is competing with undrafted rookie Brian Gaither for the third quarterback spot behind starter Kyle Boller and backup Kordell Stewart. But things could change if Anthony Wright (offseason shoulder surgery) returns in late September or early October, as expected.
T Jonathan Ogden watched practice after undergoing a minor medical procedure on Thursday. Wright, LB Peter Boulware (offseason knee surgery), and TE Trent Smith (leg) were placed on the physically unable to perform list.
Odds And Ends
A crowd of 4,733 watched the Ravens' morning session, a new club record for the first session of training camp. . . . Javin Hunter, who missed last season with a torn Achilles' tendon, has switched jersey numbers and positions. He's no longer a wide receiver wearing No. 84; he's now a cornerback wearing No. 48. . . . A day after the Ravens lost Dale Carter for the season, they signed cornerbacks Rashad Holman and Fred Weary.
