The Indiana Fever couldn't stop Tina Thompson, and it kept sending the Houston Comets to the free throw line.
Thompson had 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Comets to a 62-54 win over the slumping Fever yesterday.
Sheryl Swoopes added 12 points for the Comets, who did not make a field goal in the final 10 minutes 52 seconds, but sank 15 of 20 free throws down the stretch.
Thompson finished 8 for 17 from the field and 11 for 14 from the line. She was 4 for 4 from three-point range.
"Surprisingly they were giving me a lot of open shots, and those just don't come that easily," Thompson said.
