El Salvador, which has added former MLS star Jorge Rodriguez to the roster after a long absence, will host Panama in Group A. Guatemala, which will have star striker Carlos Ruiz of the Los Angeles Galaxy, is preparing to play at Canada in Group B. . . . The Salvadorans are making their fourth visit to Washington in the last two years, having lost to the United States, D.C. United and Colombia by a combined score of 7-1. Guatemala visited RFK for World Cup qualifiers against the Americans in 1996 and 2000. . . . The Salvadorans, who are coming off a 4-0 loss at home to Honduras on Tuesday, last met Guatemala in a friendly July 18 in Los Angeles, losing 1-0. . . . Two U.S. scouts will be at tonight's game, preparing for their qualifier against El Salvador on Sept. 4 in Foxboro, Mass.
