[Pittsburgh at Baltimore, 1 p.m. WUSA-9, WJZ-13]

[Chicago at Green Bay, 1 p.m.]

Consecutive games against the Bears in which Packers quarterback Brett Favre has thrown a touchdown pass, tying the record set by Dan Marino, who threw a touchdown pass in 24 straight games against the Jets from 1985 to '98.

We here at Gameday like the old-timey, hard-nosed matchups, and Pittsburgh-Baltimore and Green Bay-Chicago are certainly that. Of course, the NFL only recognizes 16 games between the Steelers and Ravens, but we prefer to take into account all the games the teams played in Cleveland before Art Modell did his Charm City Cha-Cha.

The players are still feeling the intensity of the matchup. "Pure hatred," is how Steelers linebacker Joey Porter, below, described the feelings the teams have for each other in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "All shots are dirty, everything is dirty, so you don't have to feel bad about it when you do it."

The Packers-Bears series started in 1921, and Chicago leads 83-77-6. But the games are generally close, with the Bears ahead by only 105 points over the course of the series.
