Georgetown vs. Bucknell
Seeking Conference Win: Georgetown is off to an 0-2 start in the Patriot League, while Bucknell is playing its first conference game of the season. The Hoyas beat the Bison, 32-31, in 2002, Georgetown's first victory in the Patriot League. The Hoyas are 3-19 in their fourth season in the league.
Slow Down Wilson: Georgetown's defense will have its hands full in trying to slow down Bucknell quarterback Daris Wilson, who leads Division I-AA quarterbacks with 294 rushing yards in three games. Wilson has rushed for 262 yards the past two games: 139 vs. Cornell and 123 vs. Columbia. He also has a whopping quarterback rating of 213.9, completing 20 of 25 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns. The Bison will be without starting fullback Blamah Sarnor, the team's second-leading rusher with 171 yards, because of a knee injury.
Welcome Additions: Two transfers from St. Mary's (Calif.) College have made big impacts for Georgetown this season. Defensive lineman Dan Cordisco and punter Brad Scoffern enrolled at Georgetown after St. Mary's dropped its football program after last season. Cordisco returned a fumble 58 yards for a touchdown in the Hoyas' first game and also serves as the team's long snapper. Scoffern is averaging 35.9 yards on 23 punts and has pinned six punts inside his opponents' 20-yard line.
