31-0

Final score of the Patriots' win over the Bills in Week 17 last season. New England has not been kind to former quarterback Drew Bledsoe. In four games against the Patriots as the Bills' starter, Bledsoe is 1-3 with four touchdown passes and seven interceptions.

Bledsoe's numbers were great against the Patriots in 2002, when he threw for 630 yards in two games.

But last year, after throwing for 230 yards in the teams' first meeting, he completed just 12 of 29 passes for 83 yards in the second meeting.

With the Bills foundering at 0-2, the natives in Buffalo are getting restless. The Bills' passing attack has been mostly lifeless at just seven yards per attempt.

True, the Buffalo offensive line is mediocre at best, but many are pointing at Bledsoe.

"Whatever the reason, he's broken," wrote Bucky Gleason in the Buffalo News.

How bad is it? Some in Buffalo are clamoring for second-stringer and Redskins castoff Shane Matthews to get the call.

Former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe is now with Coach Mike Mularkey and the Bills, who are struggling at 0-2 this season.
