All-Met RB Morgan Green sat out Lackey's 34-6 victory over Thomas Stone last week after aggravating a hamstring injury in Thursday's practice. There's a good chance Green will rest this week when the Chargers host Huntingtown. Next week, Lackey visits Westlake in a game that will determine the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference champion and the top seed in the Maryland 3A South Region. . . .
McDonough (6-2) already has secured its first winning season since 2000 and its second since 1994. With victories in their final two games -- against Westlake and La Plata -- the Rams would clinch their first playoff berth since 1991, ending the longest drought of any Charles County team. . . .
Poolesville (8-0) has outscored its opponents, 213-40, this season and has not been scored upon in its last 10 quarters. The Falcons, who have won 18 consecutive regular season games, have not trailed at the half or later all season. . . .
Broadneck K Chris Desautels made his 20th career field goal -- a 29-yarder in a 45-7 win over North County High on Saturday -- to set a Maryland public schools record for field goals made in a career. . . .
Old Mill RB Ryan Callahan on Friday broke the first in a string of records he's likely to eclipse this season. He ran 26 times for 341 yards and four touchdowns, upping his rushing total this year to 1,913 yards, a school record. Callahan's 29 rushing touchdowns, 30 total touchdowns and 180 total points put him within striking distance of Anne Arundel County records with two regular season games left.
