Indians: RHP Kevin Millwood, out with a strained right groin, is scheduled to come off the disabled list to start Thursday.

Rangers: The team put RHP Joaquin Benoit on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow tendinitis and called up RHPs Ricardo Rodriguez and John Wasdin.

The Rangers also designated OF Andres Torres for assignment.

Benoit was sidelined until May 1 with shoulder tendinitis. After his return, he allowed just one run in 141/3 innings for an 0.63 ERA. He felt soreness in his elbow while warming up Saturday night, but Manager Buck Showalter doesn't think the injury is related to his shoulder.

Red Sox: The team activated C Doug Mirabelli from the 15-day disabled list and sent C Kelly Shoppach to Class AAA Pawtucket.



The round the Yankees drafted Scott Seabol in 1996. Seabol, now with the Cardinals, hit his first career home run to help lift St. Louis past New York, 5-3, yesterday.
