Notable: With a win against Detroit, the Mystics can get back to .500 for the first time since May 22 when they were 1-1. The Shock has lost three in a row and four of its last five; Washington is on a two-game winning streak. Detroit has lost only one game at home this season -- to defending WNBA champion Seattle -- and the Mystics have won only once on the road -- the season opener at Charlotte. . . . Alana Beard, who leads the Mystics with a 16.3 scoring average, has averaged 19.7 points in the last three games. . . .
