Angels: Optioned OF Curtis Pride to Class AAA Salt Lake and activated SS Orlando Cabrera from the DL. . . .

OF Garret Anderson was out of the lineup so that he could attend his grandmother's funeral. He is expected to return for Saturday's game.

Athletics: DH Erubiel Durazo returned from a rehabilitation assignment but is headed for more rehab in the minors. The team hopes Durazo, sidelined since May 25 with tendinitis in his left elbow, will be ready to return next weekend.

Blue Jays: Recalled RHP Chad Gaudin from Class AAA Syracuse. Designated RHP Justin Miller for assignment.

Rangers: OF Laynce Nix was held out of the lineup after injuring his arm during Thursday's game. Nix, who was hurt making a diving catch in the seventh, is day-to-day.

Royals: RHP D.J. Carrasco was a late scratch from his start against the Tigers because of shoulder tightness. Jose Lima, who had been scheduled to start today, replaced Carrasco.

J.P. Howell will move from his scheduled start on Monday to today, replacing Lima.

Twins: IF Michael Cuddyer, who has a bruised left hand, is scheduled to complete a rehabilitation assignment today and could rejoin the team tomorrow when he's activated from the DL.
