Blue Jays: Activated 3B Corey Koskie from the disabled list and optioned RHP Chad Gaudin to Class AAA Syracuse.

Koskie has been sidelined since May because of a broken thumb and torn ligament, missing two months before a rehab stint with Syracuse.

Mariners: Jeff Clement, the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, signed. He will be sent to Class A Everett. Clement, 21, hit 46 career homers at USC to rank second on the school's career list, trailing only Mark McGwire (54). He was Pac-10 freshman of the year in 2002 after hitting .298 with 21 homers and 53 RBI. . . .

The team also optioned OF Chris Snelling back to Class AAA Tacoma and activated IF Dave Hansen off the 15-day DL.

Snelling began the season on the 15-day DL with a torn medial meniscus in his left knee.

Red Sox: Called up right-handed reliever Manny Delcarmen and designated LHP John Halama for assignment.

Tigers: Detroit sent LHP Doug Creek outright to Class AAA Toledo. Creek was designated for assignment by the Tigers on July 22. He had a 7.16 ERA in 14 games with Detroit this season.
